Colorgenics

At this particular time, you are feeling that you are or were unjustly and undeservedly treated and/or betrayed in your hopes and dreams. You feel that everything is against you. But look on the bright side for you are, whether you believe it or not, a survivor.

Most people are conditioned by their environment and you are no exception. You are an extremely emotional person - so much so that 'the wrong word' can lead you to tears. You feel other people's pain. You feel the need of sympathetic relationships and a pleasant work environment in order to develop and grow. You are an impulsive, loving individual with a great deal of inherent feeling.

You are not an argumentative sort of person and 'rather than fight - you'd switch' (an old cigarette ad cliche). But when you try to assert yourself - as sometimes you may try to do - you meet with so much resistance and effrontery that manifests itself so obviously that you become hurt, indignant and resentful. So in order to have peace and quiet you tend to become inhibited. You keep it all to yourself but deep down, you 'feel' and 'hurt' a lot.

Whatever has caused the situation, you just don't seem to be able to sustain or maintain relationships as you would wish to. What you really seek is to be able to develop a relationship with someone with whom you can truly share: Love, Serenity, Peace and Quiet. But you are a very demanding person and it is your nature that leads to disquiet and discord: you are like the tide, flotsam and jetsam... One minute you experience 'highs' and a few moments later 'lows'. This obviously will introduce discord into any relationship and with this demanding attitude - the ideal state you desire is unable to develop. Despite the urge to gratify your natural desires, you impose a considerable self-restraint on your instincts in the belief that this demonstrates your superiority and raises you above the common herd. You are extremely critical of everything that is presently going on around you and you find it difficult to listen to or to take advice from anyone. You enjoy the original, the ingenious and the subtle. It is strange that the anxiety that you are experiencing at this time is of your own making simply because of your desire to be respected by your fellow man and with those whom you work with. You are not satisfied. The normal congenial 'you' is becoming quite introverted. This is becoming increasingly more obvious because you seem to shy away from participating in everyday activities. You are refusing to allow yourself to become involved or to participate with others and it is the reluctance to communicate that is the inherent cause of your problems.

Reflection : I can't agree more with this analysis.

my day & nite is reverse...jet lag?

Just like this painting, where under a bright, sunny sky, the earth is covered under the night, I kinda feel surreal; my day & night is reverse after coming back from USA.

Created by : Rene Magritte The Empire of Lights .
[Rene Magritte is a surrealist artist.]

I didn't have a jet lag problem when I arrived @ san diego about a mth ago.
According to the article, flying towards the west has less jet lag as compared to the east.
In addition, NASA estimates that one will need one day for every one-hour time zone crossed to get back to normal rhythm and energy levels. So a 12 hour time difference means that I'll need 12 days to get back to normal. But, of course, I can't afford interrupted sleep for 12 days, as I gota get back to work on Monday, 3rd Sep. I just gota get back to my eastern zone and drink heaps of water.

HOW TO REDUCE JET LAG ? http://www.nojetlag.com/jetlag3.html

Now, I feel like having sweet bean curd. :P

Symptons of working in a Passive Aggressive Organization

http://blogs.theage.com.au/managementline/archives/2005/10/passiveaggressi.html

To summarise in points, the symptons in a passive aggressive organization (PAO) are :
+passive aggressive organisations are usually large and complex enterprises where there are plenty of places to hide
+people who seem to do all the work aren't rewarded, while others get whatever they want
+a big difference between the organisation's ideology and practice
+employees feel free to do as they see fit because there are hardly ever unpleasant consequences, and the directives themselves are often misguided
+senior management has left unclear where accountability actually lies

To diagnose whether organisation is passive-aggressive, ask the following questions:
-Does everyone have a good idea of what they are responsible for?
-Are decisions second-guessed?
-Do employees have enough information to understand what impact their choices have on the bottom line?
-Does information flow freely across the organisation or are there people withholding it?
-Does the performance appraisal system differentiate high, adequate and low performers?

Solution:
>Breaking free from this pattern is hard;
>Often it's best to bring in an outsider to signal that this time things will be different.
>He or she will need to address every obstacle all at once: clarify decision rights; see to it that decisions stick; and reward people for sharing information and adding value, not for successfully negotiating corporate politics.

I can't agree more.

US trip - my adventure - my sweetest memories for 2007

AUG 2007

3-4 flight
4-9 san diego(Siggraph)
9-13 san francisco
13-17 lafayette, indianapolis
17-23 NYC (17-18 new jersy)
23-27 chicago
27-30 south carolina, savannah
30-1 flight

All the memories were locked into the camera - a wonderful device.

I would rate NYC as number one, followed by SF, then Chicago.
There were many cool and sweet memories to be told & unfolded.

+Unearthly waking up hours to catch planes after planes.
+Road trip from San Diego to SF, I kept falling back to sleep and suddenly waking up & asking for"Exit 17?"
+I love NYC for her underground music @ subway, I can live in NYC forever & not get bored.

+US Airways SUX for my experience.
+I found tat Borders & Disney Stores seem to be side-by-side, true for NY, SF & Chicago.
+new jersy is like a mini las vegas, so eye-catching at night.
+I love the MCA @ chicago.
+I met a Singaporean @ savannah and he did a caricature for me, we exchanged contacts and realised we are doing the same industry. tis is my first experience of someone drawing me...lol

+I found a tastier version of "Subways"...QUIZNOS® SUBS...my favourite one is Honey Bourbon Chicken on Wheat Bread--Chicken, lettuce, tomato, red onion, Honey Bourbon Mustard and Zesty Grille Sauce...YUMMY
+I ate heaps, walked heaps, and sat heaps on the plane.

Overall : AWESOME experience.....my XP increases, just like playing a game.
Reflection : I gona re-organise my life and do more things to please myself. :)

Don't wait for things to happen, but gather the essential ingredients to make things happen for me, it works !!!
